League Rules

1. All matches will be 10 minutes
2. All teams will play twice each day
3. If teams do not have enough players, the substitutes will be girls
4. Goals scored by girls will be worth 2 points
5. Captains who receive zero break the day of the match, shall start the match losing by a score of 1-0
6. No yelling at your team
7. Captains will say who shoots penalties
8. Students who are not behaving well in classes will not play
9. A win is worth 3 points. A draw (tie) is worth 1 point.

Good Week in Practice

This week we had good practices with Hippos B, A and the Superhero Girls

Remember that Hippos B starts at 9:30 on Saturday and finishes at 11.

Both Hippos teams play in the Liga on Tuesdays and the Superhero Girls play on Mondays and Wednesdays

This week in girls practice we hosted a team from Hippos A. The girls, with help from Ms. Kaitlin and Mr. Sean, beat the Hippos 4-3. Good match from all. Especially strong for the girls were Karma Kemal and Noor Malamanni

Special Matches This Week

We are going to try to arrange matches for all three teams this week, but there will be at least one match this week. That match will be Hippos B against Hippos A.

Good luck to you all. If there is extra time this week we will also play a girls match with half od the Superhero Girls playing against the other half. If there is a lot of time, we may play Hippos A against the teachers.

I know Hippos A have played the teachers many times but this time the strongest teachers will play. That means Mr. Ahmed, maybe Ms. Jess, Ms. Kaitlin, and ..............................................Mr. Sean. We will see just how good you are.

Superhero Girls Overhwelm Hippos B

In a hardfought match this Saturday, the Superhero Girls defeated Hippos B by a score of 5-2. There was some excellent play on both sides.

Karma Kemal scored three goals, Rawya Abu Rabee scored one and Abdelraheem Samara (who was helping out) scored the final goal for the Superhero Girls.

The boys played well, in particular Mahmoud, Tariq, and Yusf Kemal. Montasser was also strong. We will have a rematch soon.

Match Stopped with Hippos Down 1-0

Two weeks ago we faced off against our old friend Iman. We lost that match 8-1. Last Thursday we had a rematch in break 2. The Hippos were down 1-0 when Ms. Lana stopped the match. We had almost finished the game but math classes were starting and studying is more important than football.

This was a much better performance than our last match. Hopefully we will play again soon.
